How many gardeners will I need?
Because landscapes differ greatly in size and scope, it's hard to say exactly how many gardeners will be needed at a given location. Generally speaking, two gardeners per crew is the average. We will work with you to determine this based on the size of the job.
How often would you come to maintain my flower garden?
Almost every plant has different needs. Some gardens require an intensive effort at the beginning and less attention as they become established. Other gardens can be planted and maintained minimally for a while, but will need more frequent visits as they develop.
Maintenance also depends in part on each client's needs and desires. That's something we factor into the budget with you at the beginning of the work. On average, you can expect Cottage Gardeners to spend 2 to 3 hours weekly during the growing season.
Where would I obtain my plants?
We can supply all the plants that you will need. We are also happy to plant any plants you buy elsewhere. If you'd like, we'll even give you a list of plants and materials to purchase at the nursery of your choice. But, realistically, it often saves time and money to obtain plants through us. We are consistently complimented on the excellent quality of the plants we provide to our clients.
Do you come out to my house, or do I come to you?
We usually schedule consultations at the job site to determine the scope of the project and learn more about your wishes and goals. We also encourage you to check out our display garden for plants you are especially drawn to.
How much do you charge?
